Manchester Orchestra, The Lonely Forest, Switchfoot, The Black Atlantic

Today, I feel really melancholy. Almost apathetic...haha, I don't like it...so I kinda just grabbed a few of my favorite bands, and one new one. haha. I don't know what kind of genre I could put all these bands in...maybe some style of alternative? haha, idk. anyways, cheers!

Manchester Orchestra:

These guys are definitely a major favorite of mine. talking top 5 bands of all time. haha. A mix of alternative grunge, alt. indie, poppy rock and really chill vibes (depending on which song you listen to). They're an interesting bunch, definitely not a voice that American Idol would choose but Andy Hull(lead singer/guitarist) is probably one of my most influential heroes of my life. haha. He can either be screaming(not screamo) like the mad bearded man he is, or be a really heart felt quiet guy. It's really amazing. And if you really like his chiller stuff, like "Leave it Alone", "Sleeper 1972", and "I can feel your Pain", his side project "Right Away, Great Captain!" is where you should look. Oh, and btdubs, these guys are absolutely amazing live. yay :)

The Lonely Forest:

A bunch of studs from Anacortes, WA. These guys are growing reeeally popular really fast in the mainstream indie region of music(and yes, I use indie alot. sorry) John Van Duesen is a phenominal Singer/guitarist/pianist(if you listen to his early early stuff, it's crazy). They have a poppy vibe to them, without being techish. Almost like if hippies were sober, this would be what it's like. haha. I found out about this band, because their killer drummer(Braydn Krueger) was my old drum teacher. haha. I met all the members and stuff, and they're reeeally really chill dudes. If you want something a little darker, their first ep, or Nuclear Winter are full of a darker, minor sound(Driven by bass, piano and drums the entire album! :D) Check it!

Switchfoot:

What is there to say? Everyone knows Switchfoot. I grew up breathing Switchfoot. hahaha. but seriously, first albums I have ever owned was their first 3 and I've been in love ever since. haha. They're range of powerful overdrive, with songs like Meant to Live, Lonely Nation, and Dark Horse, to their emotional and influential songs such as Dare you to Move, Yet(My fav), and Enough to let Me Go, they've really impact alot of stuff. I've seen them twice and concert, and lemme just say.....Best. Concerts. Ever. They seriously blow my mind. It's not just a concert, but more of an experience. If you ever get the chance to see them, do it. (And they're always sober, so they don't sound like crap live....yay!)

The Black Atlantic:

I found these guys yesterday, and I really like them. :) This is the only song I've listened to, but it's a good song, so cheers! Acoutical chillness. Like icecream. Or Frozen Yogurt. Menchies. yes. Menchies. and it helps that Tessa Vintar(aka the Antifrosh, if you've ever watched her vids) is a cutie ;D hahaha. Kaaay, I'm done. Have a wonderful day!
