William Fitzsimmons, City and Colour, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Luke Holland

AHHH!!!! I Missed yesterday....sorry....but since it's basically only who reads this, I guess I can forgive myself ;) haha. Last night I went to bed early....and this morning, I woke up late. Was late too class, didn't finish some homework, and hardly understood half the stuff our teacher was talking about. opps....and I have another class in an hour or so. lol. So yeah, today is kinda weird.

William Fitzsimmons:

He's basically the definition of sexy beard. hahaha. Even if he did go bald for a long while, his beard makes up for it. He's an incredible musician/singer/song writer. Very low key, acoustic, "cuddling during a storm" kind of feel. haha. He has a lot of sad music though. You can tell, by the album "Goodnight" (my fav), he is very influenced by the abandonment of his father, and I think also a divorce in his own life. It's some really good stuff. check it.

City and Colour:

Okay, first things first, this isn't typical City and Colour. haha. That sexy growl/scream he did at the end? That probably has to be something he picked up from his old hardcore band (Alexisonfire. Which I don't really like). but besides that, it's one of their more rockin songs. hahaha. And their drummer is a complete dork, but that's okay. He makes the world go round.

Dallas Green (City and Colour's everything) has sucha soft, clean voice. haha. It's seriously softer than butter. if you listen to either of their/his first 2 albums (Sometimes, and Bring Me Your Love), it's all acoustic wonderfulness. His newest Album "Little Hell", is a little more of a folk band type style. brushes on the snare, a little banjo, etc. some good stuff, but I'm a fan of his older stuff more, personally. Anyways, they're legit, and thanks to KRISTA FREAKING HOLLOMAN, who is a swag queen and the savior of all puppies, for showing me that live performance.

30 Seconds to Mars:

Soo......Even though Jared Leto is kinda a major jerk, I can't but help love the music they produce. It's phenominal. "This is War" is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. Beside like 1 song, it's a solid album through and through. Best way to define their sound is like....umm.....Super epic? haha. Because, it almost feels like what modern rock music should sound like, but there aren't a lot of bands that sound like them. haha. alrighty. This is war, homies.

Luke Holland:

Not a band, nor a song writer, but this dude is sick. As a drummer myself, and of 18 years of age, when I see this kid play, I poop my pants. stained. gotta go to walmart. get my money back or somethin. idk. haha. But seriously, this kid is throwing out insane fills, like they're nothing! I'm seriously geeking out about it! hahaha. But yeah, let's end on that note....thank my friend Isaac for showing me this vid. Kay bye!
