Radical Face, Midlake, Natalie Walker and Let's Buy Happiness.

School has been cancelled all week :') Too bad that means I'm gonna get my butt kicked hard for the next couple weeks, to make up for it....but oh well. Life is what life is.

Radical Face:

This dude! He has a studly sound. Reminds me of Andy Hull(Manchester Orchestra and Right Away, Great Captain!) except a little younger and more experimental. Don't know much about him, but I love his stuff.

Midlake:

I actually discovered these guys the same time I found The Paper Kites, on Myspace(Who knew?? Myspace?? in 1012??? that's wack.) and I'm glad I did. haha. They have a folky sound, but I love the small complex beats the drummer's playing.(It sounds simple, but the things he's throwing in on that floor tom is phenominal.) And usually, I really really don't like solo violins, but I love how it's played through this song. So solid.

Natalie Walker:

Truth be told, I've only heard this song from her, but I reeeally like it. It's kinda a somber song, feels very dream-like. Kinda like Sleep by The Eels(if you've never heard that song. sucks for you. Appearantly you haven't seen Shrek 2....or atleast I think that's the movie.) I've been into really simple feeling songs. Very airy sounds have been a fav lately.

Let's Buy Happiness:

Very European sounding. Almost Icelandic, but I think they're from the UK. I dig their sound. The rolling tom/snareless snare is sick sounding, especially combined with the driving, but not over powering electric. And her voice is awesome with it :) very appropriate.

Anyways, I've been kinda lazy and haven't been writing alot lately, so I apologize. But I hope the music is enough for ya! peace homie potatoes.
