Reeeeeeeally random combination of music. haha. But all of it is legit :) A little rap, a little posthardcore, and possibly one of the most stunning performances of all time(Jonsi is just too good.)
Our Last Night:
sorry it's low quality, I had to grab one that I could actually embed....but anyways, these guys are one of my favorite post-hardcore bands, because they're really good at combining melodies with screamo, and weird time signatures(or maybe they're just playing really complicated 4/4?). Their screamer was really young when this came out, like original Justin Bieber status, so this kid has balls and now he's super good! haha. The electric riffs are very melodic and intricate, and when the time's are right, have a sick breakdown grunge. Drummer is phenomenal, not much else to say about that. A few songs to check out would be Across the Ocean, and We Will All Evolve. Cheeerio!
Dirty Money(Ft. Skylar Grey):
First rap song on here, what the what?? But that's okay. I don't listen to Dirty Money(let alone rap music in general), but I love this song and it's message is pretty solid. haha. It reminds me of Keri Hilson's first album(Which, I'll admit....I love), because of the up beat sound, and almost persevering drive it has. It's good, and that's that.
Jónsi:
THIS. THIS. THIS. uggggggg, so brilliant! So wonderfully constructed. Just dang goshness! The music+the visual is sooooo interlocked! If I ever got to see this live, I'd poop myself again. The tale of the calm before the storm, and then how the storm over takes the tree is just grand! I seriously haven't seen anything this awesome. Jonsi is a freakin genius. If you ever listened to Sigur Ros or Jonsi before, then you know what I'm talking about. It's not everyone's style, (i mean, he does sing super high) but it's definitely something special. If you like this song, you'll love Tornado. Tornado is probably my favorite song, but this perfomance is just unbeatable. hence, why it's up here. Alrighty, have an awesome day! Gotta finish school :P Laterzzz.
